Default Bilstein PSS9 and Camber plates.

I recently purchased a set of Bilstein PSS9's for my GC project car.
i am running a complete 05 STI drive train so i had to get a set of 05+ Coilovers.
when installing these i learned that i would need to use the front conical washer to locate the upper spring perch.

but in order to run rear plates some custom work was going to have to be done.

i first contacted Myles at Race comp to pick his brain on this issue.

after bouncing pm's and phone calls back and forth we came up with a few options.

1) use an off the shelf upper perch from another manufacturer in this case it was KW

2) Contact Bilstein and see if they offered another upper perch that would work with camber plates.

3) make some custom spacers to locate the current upper spring perch.

After talking to bilstein I came to learn that they do not offer a different rear spring perch and the one they do offer is designed to work with OEM style rear mounts.

so i fabricated these locating washers.
you WILL need something like this if you plan on running rear camber plates on your PSS9 system.

Thanks Myles for helping me out with this!

Edit: nevermind! (Andrew: I was thinking of 2002-2003 GD, not a GC. I knew I must've been missing something!)

what is the strut body on the PSS9's made from? are they coated with something? Anyone running them thru lots of snow like in Canada? Do you coat them in some sort of oil + tape up the threads??

My struts are blown. Apparently I drive well on the track but I dont have any desire to compete in any sort of racing just lapping for fun. I drive the car mostly on the street. My car is braced heavily.

I was considering

1) T2 (SS body, but too much CO for my requirement)
2) Tic AST's (what material is that made of?)
3) PSS9's
4) RB320
5) Ohlins/RCE Blacks

Also are the PSS9's and inverted strut??
