Default Improvement on stock suspension.

What do you think is the next step up in handleing? This question isnt mine but for someone I know, though now I am reconsidering. They dont want to do to much to the car, all it has done motor wise is a cobb stage 2 and DP.
He mainly daily drivers the car but autocrosses on weekends when he can. He wants to keep the car close to stock form and RLY learn how to drive the car to its limits and back. What kind of setup do you recommend?

This is what he thinks would be good but isnt sure, I'm not sure about the sways myself either.

RCE Black springs (or other)
Stock struts
Group N tophats
Sway bars is where hes stuck, Maybe cusco 22's front and rear or WL 24's front and rear. Or maybe some combo other bars/sizes.
What do you think about these parts?

All depends on the driver. I think the best mod, is seat time/ instructer with you. Other than that the rce's will be good for daily driving and occasional track use. If he plans on going with the firmer spring rate, I would suggest like you said the cusco 22mm bar, or whitline 24.

if he wants to be at all competitive in auto-x (i think it would be a lot less fun if you can't get a time anywhere near the other guys in your class) then he should probably talk to some auto-x guys and figure out what mods will keep him in the lower classes.

Tell him to get tires first. All the greatest suspension mods will not equal faster times when compared to some good ol V710's or equivalant. A good suspension might knock a second or two off your autox times. A good set of tires will knock 3-4 seconds off your autox times.

he mainly auto X's for himself to improve his skills. He autoX's mostly with a car club that dont seems to car about class to much and you get guys with stock cars beating ppl with nice setups. Its more of a novice experience but he will go to a few official events.
