I really wonder if this would make any difference on a car that already has an X-Brace.

This is not rear-passenger safe. Period.

For <$30 its worth a try. I think it may help, but not be an overwhelming difference. But, since you pay <$30, the difference per dollar is worth it. We shall all see!

The X-Brace makes an huge difference. I doubt there would be a noticeable difference. I agree, for $30 it couldn't hurt and the rear could use a little extra weight.

I am going to be installing this tomorrow. Where do I need to set the seatbelt brackets? middle, top, or bottom setting?

Since you already have rear deck across the two C-pillars at the mid point I would set those high to move the bracing point up higher.

Install took all of 10 minutes very straight forward. I will update on how it performs on the butt dyno

Mine just came in. Fake Carbon Fiber FTW!! I would recommend putting anti-seize on the telescoping bolts. I am also going to put flat washers on the mounting bolts and lock washers on the nuts.

I also just ordered one of these. It's marketed as a handle bar mount for motorcycles. It fits rails of dia .75" to 1". The C-pillar bar is .888":

Here's the website if anyone is interested. Just FYI: It's cheaper to get it through direct through them than the exact same ones on Ebay.: Camera Mounts @ RAM Mount

Nice!!! I couldn't do fake carbon fiber, but for the money its worth it right?! Anyone get feedback from the install? I am still at work, but I plan on installing it later today when I get it.

It doesn't look bad from far away. I got it in CF as more of a joke anyway.

I probably won't install mine until i receive the camera mount.
