Default Newbie with suspension question

I just bought a 06 sti a month a go and noticed the rear of the car sits about an inch lower then the front. I can also hear the sort of clicking noise at low speeds which led me to believe the struts could be blown. Is there supposed to be any differences in ride height from front to rear?

First, suspension questions belong in the suspension forum. I'm moving this thread.

Second, does the car sit low, or is the wheel gap uneven? We have more front wheel gap than rear wheel gap. That's how the car is designed.

Third, that clicking sound could be the struts, but I'd check the axle nuts first. We've had a few folks notice that theirs were not on quite tight enough.

The clicking sound could be your diff as well. Most of the members here seem to have this and it is completely normal with our diffs. I am very sure if it was axle nuts that Subaru would be a bit more worried and that some sort of under the table recall would be going on with the dealers.

So don't freak out about the clicking noise. Most of us have it.

I recently replaced my struts on my 06 STi. If you find yours are bad, my stock struts are available. They have ~ 30K miles and are OK. PM me if interested.

Yeah I've read about how noisy the diffs can be, the clicking seems a little more frequent while making a slow turn which I guse would make sence if it was in fact the diff. Just wanted to rule out the fact that its the struts before I start droping money else where. I appreciate the help.

The appearance of a "saggy butt" is perfectly normal. Its how the car comes from the factory
