Default Steering recentering

For some reason my steering is now noticeably off-center. Not sure what caused it, maybe i hit a pothole or something. Does anyone know if this is covered by the warranty? Do i have to do the whole alignment if i want to get this fixed?

The off-center steering wheel issue can be corrected by turning each tie rod end equally until it's straightened out. But on that same note, if the steering is suddenly off-center then you can probably expect the toe settings to be off now as well. So yeah the easiest way to fix it is to take it in to get it realigned.

Normally it would take a pretty big impact to shift things like that though, unless there was something loose or something else is wrong. In any case, getting the alignment would be the first thing I'd do.

The service department I trust gave me an alignment under warranty. Your results may vary. If your steering wheel is suddenly off-center, then you may have bent something. Get under the car and have a look. It it's just an adjustment, you might be able to even it out, but I would still get an alignment.

^ Not sure what you mean. I have to hold the wheel about 5% to the right for the car to go straight.

track straight: when you let go of the wheel does the car drift?
crabbing: if someone follows you does the back of the car follow the front or does it track a little out of line with the front (crabbing)?

No, nothing like that, its just in order to go straight i have to have the wheel slightly turned to the right. But if i let it go it will keep going in a straight line no drifting to either side
