Default Rce Yellows Installed on a 04 STi

just got the v2 springs installed with the rce bump stops . the car sits a tad lower then stock , wish it was alittle bit lower in the front . the passenger side rear sits lower then the drivers side " which drives me insane " . seems like the car handles much better but that could be from the camber its on right now since i still have to get it aligned . the springs make the car waaaay softer over bumps then the stock 04 sti springs , its way softer .

Updated Info

i bought these springs used from another person here , the rears were used and the fronts were new v2 replacements . were i received them in the box there was four bump stops inside . i automatically thought two were for the rear , after searching just now i found out there not . so i guess they were extras that came with the new springs ..... real question is should i remove the rears and put the stockers back in or keep the shorter stops in the rear ????

The springs should settle over time, giving you a slightly lower stance. Glad to hear the positive review. Words can't describe how much I want these springs. Post some installed pics too

I don't see how you think their softer... I have the V2's on my 06' and they'll rattle your teeth out over rough roads...

04 STi's are supposed to have the roughest riding stock set up through out the other years .

example

stock springs - if you tried to rock the car sideways it wouldn't move or push it down it wouldn't move

rce v2's have play and your able to rock the car alittle bit and compress them when pushing down on the fender .

find someone with a stock 04 STi and drive it .

ok . i just fixed this problem in less then 30 seconds . the rear on both sides now sits level .

i was using the finger method to determine the space between the fender . before the fix it was :

two fingers on the fronts
one on the drivers side rear and none on the passenger side rear

now its two up front and one on the rear .

forgot awhile back that the black inside rubber trim came off on the drivers side while driving . so i just now took the passenger side one off , and walla the car sits level in the rear ..... lol ..... the rubber looks like it adds a 1/4 inch gap that sits closer to the tire ..... so happy its looks level now ....

after i took it off and found out it was leveled , one word popped in .... Noob ... lol

I have an 04 and think RCE yellows are the hot set-up. I don't really care about lowering. More how my car handles. I think you will find that the yellows seem softer only at the beginning of compression because they are progressive at that part, then I believe, they are stiffer than stock.

Combining RCE yellows with my other suspension parts was the answer for me on an 04. It's a different car. Rides better as DD, rotates on command, doesn't oversteer unless you enter a curve stupidly fast (yes, I've done it)... corner exit is where these cars shine and are really fun, if you have your set up right.

Enjoy your RCE yellows driving it!
