I made the mistake of going with S tech's and after reading these reviews I would have to say it still seems like the RCE Yellows are what im going to switch to. I like the stiffness of the springs but with the tein s-tech's I have to hold tight of the wheel or any pothole will make the car pull to either side.

Has anyone had issues out of any of these springs as far as the car pulling if you hit a bump. I mean it pulls bad enough to where I have both hands on the wheel at all times. Alignment is straight but springs have killed the overall feel of the car.

take a look at my comparison with RCE vs. Prodrive springs:

Prodrive vs. RCE - SoCalSubies Forums

This is with the v1 RCE yellow springs so I don't know how much more they've changed.

In my opinion, I like the Prodrive springs but it is a huge possibility that I will remove them and put the stock springs back on as there really isn't a justifiable difference between the two.

According to RCE the black (regular guy) springs have roughly 10% stiffer rates than the pinks. They also have similar rates to the yellows and are intended for DD and weekend track days, but have less drop. Since I don't want may car to be anymore of a snowplow than it already is, I chose the blacks. If it wasn't for that, I would have liked to try the yellows.

As far as the pot hole/ S Tech bouncing Speedjunkie experienced.... I slso experienced that. You are absoutly right, two hands on the wheel, or the car was on the way out of the lane. (Not good for my 100 mile per day commute.) The zip tie seat repair in conjunction with the RCE blacks definitely helped a lot. I did both at the same time, so I can't say what made the most difference.

Hey Parker,

Prodrive claims a 20mm drop all around (roughly about a inch) but some retailers claim its more of a 10mm Front and 5mm Rear, perhaps everyone has a different way of looking at it. Can you verify which one is more accurate?

not horribly sure because I don't have them on my car anymore. i'd say the drop was very conservative yet noticeable compared to stock but actual numbers I can't verify.

The drop is about 23mm front and 20mm rear for RCE Yellow springs

If you value performance and ride quality, you don't want the lowest springs.

It would've been nice if the STI came stock like the Prodrive WR1 STI but cost has to be cut somewhere I guess. Anyhow, with help from different STI drivers and Venders I decided to install Prodrive springs after trying H&Rs, and Swifts. My conclusion with H&Rs is that the spring seems too soft for the car... I catch myself hitting the bumpstop too many times when driving down a mildly crappy road and the Swifts where too stiff for me even though the spring rates almost the same with other favored springs like Blacks, Pinks, etc.. These linear rated springs are really best suited for smooth roads and people that really track where they'd need the confident feedback right away.
