I have been searching like crazy and can't find a decent answer. I see that 04 STi Struts somehow fit the 02-03 WRX and you can use the 02-03 WRX struts with koni inserts as a upgrade for 04's, so it would make sense that you could use a OEM replacement strut like KYB GR2's on a 04 STi, right?

Reason being is I am in need of new struts in my car and its getting to the point of being annoying, bouncing around like crazy. And I deffinately do not want to upgrade to a even harsher full coilover suspension. And going to the dealership and getting new replacement struts would be ungodly expensive.

I have an 04 Sti that I put on KYB AGX struts about 2 years ago. They scared the crap out of me on a dip followed by undulating pavement at 100+ mph (hwy 37 over Petaluma bridge towards Sear Point) that was no problem with stock struts. I took them off 4 days after I put them on. Last Dec. I did the Koni inserts in WRX 04 struts with Prodrive springs, much improved over stock. Just put TIC AST coilovers on last month, so if your interested in Koni inserts and have any questions (or even interested in my 6 month old set) feel free to PM me.
