They'll recommend you do NOT use the lowering plates. It'll put your car too low from a performance stand point.

I was thinking about going with 245/40/18 on some 8.5 wide rims but the 255/35/18 is the closest match to the same diameter as the stock 225/45/17 but I think they will rub.

I just installed my RCEs with Group Top N Fronts last weekend. Still waiting for my alignment to be done. They are awesome springs and I will post pictures as soon as I get the salt off my car.

suspen. setting:
GN top hat mount front and rear, cobb sway kit 25mm front and rear with kartboy endlinks. sway setting: winter time middle, summer time at the end!!!
so when its summer you soften the setting? i would think "at the end" would mean the farthest hole from the pivot point which is in fact.... softer.

You should contact Myles at RCE... he is very up front and very knowledgeable about his products. Great communication and amazing customer service, the guy really takes his business seriously and will help you out with making an informed decision.

Again, you'll want to talk to Myles, but I have the yellow springs and group N mounts on stock struts... so your car should sit the same as mine!

ok im in the market for some yellow springs.. Now people are claiming that they are kind of harsh especially on bad roads.. Im currently on helix coilovers 8k front, 6k rear... Really really harsh ride and thats the reason I wanna go back to springs.. I daily drive my sti with a monthly autocross through out the warmer months..

Is this a good choice??? any thoughts??

I really don't think that they are that much more harsh then the stock springs. It seems like they smooth out the smaller bumps better because they are progressive, I believe,as opposed to the stocks which are linear. Linear springs are the same rate all the time so even the smaller bumps would bang my car around.
