I'm curious about the weight differences for different trunks/wings. I've considered importing a JDM Spec C trunk. I know they're aluminum. Anyone have any knowledge on this? Do you know the weight differences?

If I recall correctly it was at least half of the weight if not 1/3, but I no longer have the email with specs. I have one coming in a few weeks, so when it gets here I can weight it and post it up.

I can if you want. I can quote prices from Japan to here, but the shipping to individual locations (w/o measurements of the boxes) will be difficult. If you are really interested, drop me a PM.

I'd be interested, of course depending on price . Do these come already painted, and would the holes be identical to our STi wing? If I recall don't the Spec C's have a different wing (carbon fiber), which would then have diff bolt holes?

Spec C trunk comes with holes for the wrx style wing. I do not believe it is carbon fiber. YOu might be thinking of the Spec C Type RA. I am still confirming whether what I was told (that the spec c trunk is available with no holes and holes for the sti wing) is actually the case.

yes

With the trunks, I will probably order a few and see what the duties run on them. The price is the same as it is here before shipping from Japan.

Weighed stock seats again and they weighed almost 50 lbs. Did not get an exact measurement.

Anyone know what the complete air conditioning assembly weighs? Besides getting sweaty, are there any other side effects of removing it? I know the defrost function uses the A/C by default but I find it nearly as effective without the A/C (and you don't lose the power.)
