IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | I have RCE YELLOW springs and have installed the rear bar today and set it up using the middle hole (equiv to 25mm?). I am not sure on the front bar, which I'm installing tomorrow what hole to use 24/25mm? My understanding with the setup with the rear bar is that with the stiff springs I have, If I go too big with the rear bar my inside rear tire can actually lift up in a tight turn, as I have seen happen in SCCA racing. I am unsure what difference I would see between the two mounting holes on the front bar. If I go with the 25mm setup will I make understeer worse? Should I stay with the 24mm setup instead? I'm not really sure how to set this car up for the street. i tried doing some research, but found the terms confusing. The thumbnail is the current alignment I am running and like I said it would be for a guy who like to take hard turns on an almost daily basis, but not for racing. IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 Trader Rating: (10) | I always suggest that once you make changes start in the middle and get used to the car again. From there work your way up to making more changes to see the difference it makes. Your alignment is good. I would drive the car and get used to it and not worry about making alot of changes yet. | Amateur STI Driver | The Whiteline BSR37XZ is a really beefy rear bar for the STi. When we say beefy we mean beefy with a capital MMMMMOOOOO!!!! This bar is 24mm thick, and has three levels of adjustment - 22-24-26mm. Seriously, you will want to be running upgraded springs with this bar. The stock ones just won't cut it; unless you happen to like wheel lift at apex and no traction until you can get that wheel back on the ground. I mean, come on, it looks cool and all. It gives you bragging rights. But really it would just hurt your times. Therefore we encourage you to get uprated springs before you put this bar to use. According to turn in concepts website and rallysport direct it 22,24,26. |
