| Amateur STI Driver | Hi there, a friend and I just installed a set of RCE yellows on my car yesterday and I'm completely happy with them so far. However, with my tax return I'm going to do my next suspension upgrade but I'm unable to decide which to do first though eventually will do both. The two options I'm deciding are 1: Ohlins fixed perch with Group N top mounts, or 2: Whiteline sways, front and rear, with Whiteline endlinks. My tax return will be sufficient for one or the other, but not both (Obviously the sways option is cheaper, but that's not really a factor in my decision). I realize both of these will accomplish different things, I'm just curious to hear people's opinions on which they'd do first as I'm completely undecided. Thanks! | dances with roads | If I had the $ I would be on the phone to Myles to place my order for Ohlins yesterday. Sways are a nice thing to do on an STi, but compared to Ohlins they're minor. |

Ohlins should be the answer without a doubt. Sways can come later. You'll love the ride comfort with the ohlins! Can't go wrong! Kind Regards, Ryan |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | For the money and end result (assuming track/autocross level performance is what you want), Id say go with the sways and some fromt camber plates. Daily driving wont be as comfy, but the stock shocks with RCE Springs are damn good on the track, especially when you get a good alignment to go along with it. I did a good 6 or 7 events on RCEs with camber plates and sways and got a lot of great use out of them with really no complaints. If you decide you want to go with better dampers down the road, youre probably better off investing in coilovers anyway and can sell your RCE springs to help offset the costs. Even better, youll already have the camber plates |

| Amateur STI Driver | Thanks a lot for everyone's suggestions One thing I in fact forgot to mention in my initial post which ESmooth actually touched on is I'm going more for a performance oriented goal than a comfort oriented goal (though having both is certainly not a bad thing). From strictly that standpoint and not taking added comfort into consideration, would any of you change your mind to sways over Ohlins? Ultimately, while I will do some track/autocross, I mostly just want a super-aggressive DD suspension which is why I was leaning more towards spring/strut as opposed to coilovers, though I'm single with no kids so a slightly harsh ride isn't much of a concern to me, hence the sways vs. struts decision from a purely performance standpoint. Thanks again This ad is not endorsed by this member.
