IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2008 Trader Rating: (4) | Whats up guys. I am new to Subi I just got a 06 STI.. I wanted to upgrade the suspension since I live in a area with alot of twisty roads.. I want to do sway bars Fr & R with end links. My question is how are H & R coilovers I havent seen to much on them they are $1500 for the street Performance coilovers but I can get them for $995 are these crap?? Should I just do the swaybars and links and wait and do a better coilover? Thanks for the help This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

You'll see and huge difference and be able to enjoy those back roads. If you do plan on tracking then try the BC Racing coils they're affordable and good quality. importimage.com |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2008 Trader Rating: (4) | I may want to autoX but I want a really tight suspension for the awesome roads around here.. I am not a big fan of springs on the STI I had them on my first car 99 Integra GSR and since then never wanted spring.. I am kind of a suspension whore even on my Mountain Bike i run Ohlins stuff so I am really into the higher quality stuff with that being said i dont want to spend 4G on coilovers but I want something good. As for the sway bars i am confused on the Perrins , Cobb or Whiteline with end links?? Thanks for the help guys. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | IMO coilovers are over-kill for just backroads and light auto-x/track usage. I haven't researched coilovers much, but I've heard good things about KWs. That being said, RCE partnered up with KW to make coilovers for our cars. I can vouch for RCE yellow springs. I'm on stock struts and I love 'em. For your application, maybe you can go for Ohlins fixed perch struts with RCE springs... And of course sways. Whitelines seem to be popular in these woods. That's what I'll be doing in the future. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2008 Trader Rating: (4) | Yeah I hear ya on the coilovers I guess its just my preference.. But with the sways anybody know how perrin sway's are I can get Fr & R with end links for $550 or I can get Whiteline which I think are $389 for FR & R and another $260 for there endlinks.. How are KartBoy end links? Cause they have a special on them for $180 for Fr & R. Thanks again Oh the thing i was confused on is what size sway bars should i do. Should i go 27mm Front Whitline and 24mm rear whiteline or Hotchkis 25mm competition set which comes with everything for $550 looks pretty good? Last edited by STI-LOS; 01-17-2008 at 08:22 PM. |

Not to be a dick, but as it was mentioned before and you didn't seem to want to do it.... SEARCH. you are asking the EXACT SAME questions that have been asked many many times before. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | i would just contact myles at rce( Welcome to Racecomp Engineering.com ) and tell them what you want like if you use the car as a d.d. or just track and or both. plus( they hook up military members!!! ) and i have never had a problem with them, there customer service is whats others distributors and shops need to strive to matchi am happy with my set up. i ended up getting the cusco f + r strut bars, f + r whiteline sway bars, whiteline A.L.K. (anti lift kit) race, rce yellows v2, f + r endlinks, and new rims and tires 18 x 8.5 Rays with 255/35. i use the car for street/track. mostly track thow since i live about 20 mins from Hockenheim Ring Hockenheimring > Home . i would say about 2 to 3 time a month. and also about 3 hours from the Nurburgring. its all in what you want. i would not initially go for a coilover set up untill you have determined the stock struts and springs to be insufficient for your driving style. and plus if they still are in good working condition why change them. i am going to wate till my stockers wear out before i consider getting cilovers! and plus they are freaken spendy!!! hope this helps!!! and good luck with your choice.
