IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | i've been over-researching this to death. i've settled on either the pinks, stock, or prodrive springs as well as possibly using rce lowering plates. the primary reason i want springs is because i hate the way the '06 sits higher in the front.... i don't care one bit about possible harshness on the streets, but i want improved handling on the track.... my options are (in no particular order): 1. stock springs, prodrive bumpstops, rce lowering plates (should even things out a bit f/r) 2. prodrive springs, prodrive bumpstops 3. prodrive springs, prodrive bumpstops, rce lowering plates (i don't mind the raked look of this) 4. pinks, prodrive bumpstops, rce lowering plates 5. pinks, prodrive bumpstops i know what stretch would recommend, and i really don't want to muck things up with springs, but at the same time, i wouldn't mind her sitting a bit lower, and def want her to be more even.... please discuss.... IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | Your missing the RCE springs. Either the yellows or the blacks. edit: after re-reading what you wrote, I'd opt for the RCE Yellows with RCE non-lowering plates |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | replying to my own post....so, if the stock springs sit right at the stock bumpstops, the prodrive bumpstops are about 25 mm shorter than stock (according to rallysportdirect) and lower the front by 20mm, would that keep the car off the bumpstops by 5mm, improve feel if you do hit them b/c they are softer initially, and keep the car further off the bumpstops due to increased spring rate (thus making them uber-awesome)? |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2005 Trader Rating: (3) | man i'm in the same boat right now, with basically the exact options you're looking at. I'm also looking into the new Swift springs as they don't lower as much now. I'm leaning towards Prodrives with RCE lowering plates though. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 Trader Rating: (10) | ^ Yes, all of our springs come with replacement bumpstops, pretty much the same as the Prodrive ones. We do have them available seperately as well. We did really like this car below that had Prodrive springs with RCE lowering plates. ![]() Prodrive springs are going to be difficult to find these days,..but we have some left. If you're tracking your car, you may be interested in the RCE Black springs, which lower the car to nearly the same height as the Prodrives but have firmer rates. They do include bumpstops as well. 15mm drop front and 10mm drop rear. - Andrew Last edited by RaceComp Engineering; 01-11-2008 at 03:18 PM. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 Trader Rating: (2) | I'd get RCE blacks with lowering plates.....or Prodrive with lowering plates. Both will yield about the same drop and ride quality, and both come with improved bumpstops. Oops, Andrew answered before me....what he said. |

For what you want the Yellows with the supplied bumpstop whill do exactly what you want. Here's the drop on Yellows. And one for those who think the drop is too much for snow.. ![]() This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. Last edited by CGMDan; 01-11-2008 at 04:04 PM. | |
