Going really fast into a sweeping turn, rear wheels went into dirt, got nervous and over corrected. I went rear first into a 8 inch high dirt emankement and front left wheel and axle went over that green cable box thing. When i drove off i had to hold wheel 90 degrees to the left to keep it straight. when i turn wheel all the way to the right both wheel turn fine, turn wheel all the way to the left right wheel turns fine but left wheel only turns out half way.
driving straight of course my left wheel screeches like crazy.

what could i have broken, axle? driveshaft? any idea how much it will cost to fix this

ummm...why wouldn't you have parked it and called Subaru-care service for a FREE tow to the dealership ? Driving a car in the condition yours was in likely did more damage to the suspension. It could also easily have caused transmission damage due to stress -- and I guanrantee the warranty wouldn't cover that.

I hear you...except now you may be facing a higher repair bill due to additional damage caused by the dragging front left wheel. You could also have just towed the car home and inspected the damage in the morning in daylight, but I guess hindsight is 20-20, as they say.

i know how you feel. i crashed my STi too. my first instinct was to drive it home too. luckily i had put my car in a place that i could'nt drive out of and had to call a flatbed. these things happen but anytime you crash a new $32,000 car its not going to be cheap to fix. i sucked it up and my insurance paid everything, flatbed fees, cost to repair the car, my medical bills. anyway, welcome to CRASH.

sorry to hear about your misfortune - i had a similar thing happen to me...
entering a two way deserted service road separated by a median and dropping the clutch while rolling at 30mph sent me into my expected drift, however, i didnt expect a pile of blown-out tire that appeared out of nowhere and sent me into a small 4-5in curb... luckily no damage except for slamming my alignment off... hope you can get this fixed without going broke - aluminum control arms and hd struts are $$$

That adn because there is a 2mm gap between the wheels and calipers you could have messed your brakes/wheels up severly... then driving on it will just make it worse. good luck man, hope this works out.

i don't think it was that bad. i missed a hairpin turn on a foggy night. car slid between two cement posts. one hitting the passenger side front quarter and then hitting passenger side passenger door. car then flew over an embankment and landed in a cow pasture that was about 8 or 9 feet lower than the road. fun stuff. i don't think i got knocked out but its possible. i remember lifting my head and my windshield was covered in mud and grass. car was still running. got out, looked over the situation and tried to drive out. guy delivering papers(4am) sees me and i use his phone. cops come, accuse me of "doing burnouts", writes me a citation. flatbed and parents come. car gets taken away and i go to the hospital for repairs myself. neck X-ray and some pathcing up of cuts and bruises. a really GOOD time!!!!
