Top Hat Question

Hi,

I just installed my cusco zero 2r's. I removed the entire stock strut/spring, then put in the new coilover. Should I have removed the stock top hat and put it on too? I left it off. The car feels fine, but I want to make sure this isn't a nessesary part that I forgot to put on. Please let me know. Thanks.

This is a contradictory sentence. THe cusco 2r come with new aluminum top hats, you discard the stock top hats.
