IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | Ok my STi has over 75k miles on it. Last week I had been hearing a squeaking noise every time I turned it on and just assumed it was due to the colder weather as it went away almost immediately. Then a few days after that start I was driving home and bam power steering gone! I was only a minute or 2 away from the local shop so I stopped in there and the power steering belt was trashed. So they replaced that and all was well. Now the past couple days I have heard a squeaking again when I first turn the car on and turn the wheels 75-100%. The steering also feels sort of pulsing like sort of hard to turn. Is this my power steering pump dying or a bad pulley? (which they said they checked). Once the car warms up it seems to go away, but gonna try to investigate tomorrow mornin. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
