Default front subframe - need some input

Hey Guys -

We happen to know the dude making the subframe you see below. We've been begging him for some time to bring them to market, and we may be getting close.

I told him we'd post up pics so he could see the feedback to make his decision. Not sure on pricing. We'll have to talk to him about that part.

What you see below is the first one he made. Since then he has changed the bars under the header for a bit more room, and added a full undertray that pops up with quick clips. I'll see if I can get undertray pics.

Looks great, especially with a clipped on undertray option. Depends on pricing though before I can say yeah I'd like one.

It looks like a quality pace with decent welds. What materials is he using, whats its weight VS stock subframe brace and is there any measurement of increased chasis rigidity?

I'll ask about weight. I believe the material is chromoly. No chassis dyno measurements of it. Just butt dyno.

To give you guys an idea of who it is building these, and that he knows this shape, he used to be one of the top shifter kart chassis makers in the US. We're not talking kiddie karts either. Take another look at that subframe, and notice how it's a take-off of a shifter kart shape. The man knows this shape well, and knows what makes it stiff where it needs to be.

it really looks like the gt spec pieces, but as a whole unit.
which isn't a bad thing, just comparing.

If this goes on the market defiantly count me on for this one. I need a sub frame and I wasn’t sold on the other sub frames. I’m glad I didn’t buy another and came across this one. I would defiantly wait for this to come out on the market.
