My vote goes to CrMo also, it would have to be HUGE to be stiff enough out of Al... it looks pretty good as is. This guys doesn't happen to be certain J.R. jr. does he?

Nope. His name is Ray. He used to build some of the finest shifter kart chassis in the country. Thus why it looks like a shifter kart bolted to the STi. Bottom line this man knows this shape, and what works on it.

I'll add calling him to my to-do list for tomorrow.

Sadly I don't have them or can't find them. They were alum panels and attached with dzus clips.

My money is on never... you'll eventually learn not to wait around on vaporware here - or else you'll never get any parts upgrades for your car. There is always something better "in the works" and it always comes out YEARS (usually multiple) after the initial "we think we might have it" date, if ever. My advice is to find something you like that you can buy now and just get it.

Bumping an old tread up. I assume this fell through the cracks and is no longer in the works?

Ray was supposed to send the jig and a sample frame to Tom@Kartboy. The plan was to cnc bend and laser notch the tubes to drive the cost down.

Ray has yet to send either of those over to Tom, and at this point I'm sick of calling and asking about it.

Ok I was just wondering. I bent up the mounting points for my undertray yesterday and subsequently am in the market for a new sub-frame brace. Oh well at lest the car had a fun time on it's final off road bout.

Any recommendations on a brace, I see there are about five or six to choose from.

Sadly you're going to be waiting a long time as I think this may be dead.
