I have a question, maybe you guys can help. I spun a bearing in my '04 STi and have decided to just replace the shortblock and rebuild my heads. There are currently 2 blocks that I'm looking at, the 1010CA030 and the 1010CA050. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a legit comparison between the two, and I am trying to figure out what the better buy is. If I'm not mistaken, the 050 is the '08 and newer bottom while the 030 is 04-07, correct?
Now I know the 04-07 had a slightly higher rev limit than the 08-newer, but does that necessarily mean it's stronger? Bascially, it's reads that the 030 is not prone to the ringland failures like the 050, but the 050 has the heat treated crank which is stronger. Not a huge dilemma, just curious which one is more worth purchasing.

DW 850 CC Top Feed Conversion injectors and Rails
255 LPH fuel pump

Aftermarket TD06 20G 10cm^ if I'm not mistaken, IWG
Cobb AP v3
That should be it I think. I'll be getting it tuned after break in, and it'll be somewhat conservative since it's my daily. Just wondering, with that in mind, which is the better bottom end option. Thanks in advance!
