Best line: "This is Travis Pastrana in a nutshell. He makes the rest of humanity look like a bunch of neutered poodles."

If Block can't beat Pastrana what makes him think he will survive on WRC? I mean I know he is a good driver and all, but it doesn't seem possible for him to beat the WRC guys.

Ken Block is good at going in circles on a skidpan over and over and over until it looks like sum and gets recorded put on youtube... you cannot compare him to WRC drivers...

It is a brand new car guys. Cut him some slack. This was an expected loss for Block. What did you think he was going to win? hahahaha.

If he had won. That would have been a sign of serious things to come but as EXPECTED he did not win. Karma was not involved. Why would it be Karma? Because him leaving Subaru was some cardinal sin? Come on now.

No surprise...

Ford isn't anything that is special. They've been in WRC for as long as people can remember, and for that duration they haven't produced too much. 06 and 07 were great years for them, but then they had Marcus Gronholm with them. (and in 06 Loeb was out of the last 3 rallies due to personal injury) and Subaru sucked big ones after 05 to boot. As soon as Gronholm retired manufacturer title went back to Citroen, as expected.

They've had their share of good drives, at one time they had both Carlos Sainz and Colin McRae on their team for a few years, so thats not an excuse.

Outside of WRC, I don' think they have much support for Group N for local rallies like Subaru or Mitsubishi do. Ford does not have an AWD version of road going car like STi or Evo. So it is not easy for relatively low-budget team to modify whatever they have on the road and get going. Even 325hp Focus RS is still a FWD (yes it has a very good front LSD but still FWD - put it on dirt and snow see if it can keep up with a well driven 265 hp WRX)

They just need to make WRC cars cheaper like mid 90's, then small companies like Subaru can join again.

This was quite honestly the best news of my entire week. Ken Block. Ford.

Thank you, Travis, for bringing it home for Subaru.
