This is not 100% true. A change in boost behavior due to a rev limiter modification would be an indirect change to the boost. Kind of a silly example anyways given that the ECU does define behavior above red line or even outside of the defined maps.

The cobb map is made with aggressive timing/fuel curves and the resulting boost from bolting on a better designed downpipe while running 100 octane. Map information can be attained by reading the maps notes.

Well, until it comes up against a official national protest we will not know for sure.

Ok just wanted to make sure as Im getting a tune w/ chris from xx and I want to utilize all the parts I can. So an aps65mm intake, and gms turbo inlet and aftermaf hose will be ok to install as long as I have an STU map correct? Sorry if its been asked before but Im a noob this year to STU and the intake rule is a little confusing. Thanks.

As long as you don't have to do anything else to install this stuff, it should be legal, as it is all ahead of the compressor inlet. I read somewhere that some of the inlets require that you move some other stuff around, and that may not be completely legal. In other words, you can't do something illegal to make a legal mod work. I am not familiar with the turbo inlet and hose, so I can't tell you which way it falls.

The CAI is legal as long as you don't have to modify the body to get it in. I got the 65 APS in without having to get out the dremel, so I know that is legal.

Here is a thread on NASIOC about the legality of the APS turbo inlet, which may be similar to yours:
APS inlet STU legal? - Motorsports - NASIOC

Tires are the #1 mod next to seat time. Period. Next up camber and coilovers.
