Default SCCA regulating decibels at events? At 95dB with SPT exhaust.

Has anyone heard a regulation on this. At my local event they are goin to enforce this rule next year. With my SPT exhaust I'm at 95dB. I was surprised at the reading. At national events do they enforce it?

Thanks
Manny Z

Yes they regulate it. Not so much for AutoX but road racing does at every event. It has more to do with the city and the track than SCCA.

it's more of a site by site restriction I think.

On our main site (Devens in MA) we have a 90db limit at 75 feet. My SPT exhaust never came close to tripping the meter and even now with the straight pipe, I still don't trip the meter. I am running AS so I still have cats. If I were catless, I don't know how much louder it would be...I guess it would be possible at that point.
