Pics: Track Day at Dunnville Autodrome 5/24/08

I thought I'd share pictures of some of our customers' cars from the track day Saturday.

I had a blast driving the Cup Lite car:

This Supra was the best ride I took all day. I turned the boost down to spring pressure for him (550 whp) the day before. With the Racelogic traction control box set up, race tires and pads, and some suspension work, he scared me a bit...but only in a good way. It pulls real hard down the long straight and he drives it in deep.

Here's Newman's GT35R STi. A friend's T Rex was out there lapping, but as you can see Newman blew right by him.

And Mike's STi. It's a mildly modified car and he drives it well. This car was turning some of the fastest times all day with just a fuel pump, full exhaust, custom tune, race tires and race pads.

There were lots of cars out there on race tires, but the brake pads he ran made the big difference for him. He ran the race tires with Ferodo DS2500s, last season and he was having major braking issues. It's a technical course and very hard on brakes. With the new pads we got him he said it was like a whole other car.

DS2500's and street tires are awesome on the street and good enough for some road courses, but not when you're this hard on the brakes.
