Default Is recovering/padding your factory steering wheel legal for A-Stock AutoX?

My biggest gripe with my 08 STI is the factory steering wheel. I'd like to get it padded and recovered with alacantara, but I'm going to be running A-Stock AutoX this summer. Is padding/recovering the factory steering wheel legal for the Stock class? Thanks in advance!

"Alternate steering wheels are allowed, provided the outside diameter
is not changed by more than one inch from the standard size.
Steering wheels with an integral airbag may not be changed."

The rule book is pretty vague. Your best bet is to contact SEB.

I would argue it that it's still within the 1" rule, and the wheel itself has not been changed, but recovered. The components under the cover are the same.

It's going to depend on the scrutineer.

It is legal.

also falls under
13.2 BODYWORK
A. Accessories, gauges, indicators, lights and other appearance,
comfort and convenience modifications which have no effect on
performance and/or handling and do not materially reduce the
weight of the car are permitted.

I already asked the SEB
