IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I have an 04 with intake, fmic, supposedly utec (haven't found it yet haha), running 23 psi. I don't think it's been pro tuned because I'm only running 13.1's in the quarter? How would I stand against a stock 03 cobra? A friend of mine knows a guy with a daddy bought cobra so I want to know if I can smack him down? This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | on a race track, if he s stock you should fine until the 1/8, he ll catch up, then around the last 300ft he should blow by at close to 10mph faster.(according to my old car) see sig. with just a good CAI (kenny bell) and 3" dual catback i gained 45 rwhp(dyno proven). there is good chance he has all this and more. so... prey he misses a shift or two |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Well, he's supposed to be stock. I hate kids who brag about their cars that daddy bought. I mean my parents have given me a good start but I have done everything since then. I love getting daddy bought comments about my sti then showing them my coupon book So what about 50-120? Thanks for not flaming! |

| Senior STI Driver | If your best time is 13.1 then more than likely no. Ive seen stock terminators run high 12's before. Could come down to a drivers race if you did it the right way and took it to the track |

Your Quicker....he is faster...Drivers race......depends on distance of race and where "you want to end it"- ( if he is stock) His advantage top end..so im sure he would want to go the distance for as long as possible...what ever that would be. Just my opinion. Last edited by STIVendetta; 10-27-2007 at 07:51 PM. |

| Senior STI Driver | A 13.1 isnt enough to beat a stock cobra. Stock cobras with a decent driver run high 12's and with good drivers run mid 12s. And with the VF39 you probably wont even trap as high as a stock cobra. Not knowing the kid who owns the cobra it will probably be a drivers race though, cobras with stock tires are hard to hook up. |

| Junior STI Driver | Car and Driver I believe had that car clocked at 12.99 in the 1/4. I raced one with my conquest from a roll. I had him until the kid down shifted and then it was no contest at all. At that time the Quest was a mid 13 sec car. The Cobra driver said it was stock and it could have been. I dont think you have a chance from 50-120mph. Your only chance would be from a launch and a short race. A long race and he will run you down. The problem with daddy bought performance cars is that they usually get their kids or someone else killed because the kids dont have enough driving experiance or skill. Sometimes having to much money and not enough brains is not a good thing just ask the Kennedys. Tony |

+1000. That is the problem. Or you have idiots in Z06's that like to pass people on the shoulder and think it's funny. | |

| Junior STI Driver | Do it from a dig and you may have a chance. Hope he doesn't have a IRS brace and breaks the diff cover from launching. Bone stock I ran 13.108@110.21 leaving at idle(No IRS Brace) I dyno'ed 366whp stock. Then after intake, catted x, and cb, I went 13.0@114. Then my clutch wouldn't disengage after that. And had a hard time getting into gear. Ran 13.0@104, hiccuping 3rd gear and never getting it into fourth. From the 1/8 mile I was bound to run a mid 12. 2.0 60' Don't even try him from a roll. He will rape you. I used to pull stock STi's with my stock SRT-4 on a roll. A stock Cobra vs. a stock SRT_4 is ugly. So I can only imagine what it would be like for an STi.
