It will be close just like in Sweden. If Loeb doesn't stall again or have a bad tyre choice Gronholm will have his hands full. But this is Gronholms backyard and it is "new" to the series so he (Gronholm) will have an advantage.

Just hope the Fords don't have more problems in the cold like in Sweden, that could change everything!

Since Subaru and Petter are doing so poorly, Gronholm and Mikko will have my support for a 1-2 finish. Not a huge Citrion or Loeb fan...

hmm.. it may be gronholms backyard..
but even he seemed a bit nervous when asked about his expectations for norway.

as for loeb,.. he's sheer perfection when it comes to driving.
i reckon this is all he needs to get his footing.. and win

@parker,.. i made some suggestions about the format, in a hope to get the lurking motorsport guys to start posting here instead of nasioc... http://www.iwsti.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75192

but, as it's not happening,.. come here http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=22

Sounds good to me because any change would have to be better. This is almost a waste of space on the forum because no one visits and even fewer have posts on the subjects covered here. But don't give up on your ideas because I hope they succeed and there will be more participation in this section of the forum.

IMHO this is why the US will never have a WRC event, there just isn't the interest in this kind of racing here. It's sad but true. Even here on IWSTI poeple are more interested in "drag racing" thier STi than running them for what they were designed to do.

Well off my soapbox and back to waiting for results from Norway today, not to mention what might be happening between GM and Chrysler.

I'm pulling for Atkinson, maybe a 3rd place finish, but as we all know it will be a 1-2 finish between Gronholm and Loeb. IMO Gronholm always seems concerned about his next event, that's why I like his interviews.

After day two what can I say, this has been one of the best rallies in years unless your a Loeb fan.

Grondholm's eating some humbel pie and GO Mikko!

Good to see a Subaru near the top. That would be a great disappointment for the Norwegians if the Subaru team didn't do well.

Waiting for day three results and highlights...

i can think of 5 iwsti members off the top of my head that post on nasioc for the motorsport section alone.
my attempt to get this section going by bringing them back here is pointless, as iwsti has no interest in motorsport..

as for the rally.. OMG, i was soooo not expecting that result
watched the wrc program last night.. AWESOME!

Yes indeed Fords 1,2,3 finish was a great victory for them. 29 years in the making and I was so happy for Mikko and his first place win.

Subaru was a bit disappointing again, especially in the manufacturers points standing. In fourth place I don't see them going any where this year unless the new car is that much better...

I doubt it will be!

Sordo isn't the only one cursing the snow. I wasn't able to drive my STi for 2 months because of snow here in Colorado (we just sat a record for 61 days with an inch or more of snow on the ground). I don't think I'll see the grass in my front yard for a while at this rate!

SA weather sounds very good at this point! Enjoy...

Hope Mexico will be a better race for the Subaru team, but at this point I'm not holding my breath for any big break throughs.

they said the new car will be used in mexico in March, thought it wasn't supposed to come out until after the production version? is it the new 08 design or just an 07 refresh?

Nevermind...

The Subaru World Rally Team will start the 2007 season with a revised version of last year’s Impreza WRC2006. The 2007 Impreza World Rally Car will debut later in the season in Mexico.

The car, based on the 2006 model year Impreza, will be used by team drivers Petter Solberg, Chris Atkinson and Stephane Sarrazin as they tackle the gravel, asphalt, snow, ice and mud of this year s sixteen round FIA World Rally Championship season.
