| littleflufferhumper | lol.. weeeeelll, funny you should ask in an interview on PaddockTalk, Dani was quoted as saying "I'm hoping there won't be too much snow because I have no benchmarks on this type of surface." about Rally Monte Carlo.. so i'm guessing, he's not too excited about it.. i reckon he has loads of potential.. as well as making for some good eye candy |

| littleflufferhumper | @lol.. the latest interview with Dani re: this weekends race... he says he likes it, but my guess is that he's nervous as all hell ![]() http://paddocktalk.com/news/html/mod...icle&sid=47932 What do you remember of your first visit to Sweden? "It's really a rally for which I have very few benchmarks. Last year, I drove on snow with a WRC car – the Xsara –for the first time during shakedown. My main concern was to make good notes during recce. I didn't realise how fast the stages were. The early part of the event was very difficult but my times weren't that bad and, by the end of Leg 1, I felt totally confident. Driving on snow is pretty much the same as driving on gravel, with some differences, like braking for example. I like the Swedish Rally. It's like Finland… on snow." |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Go Petter! I have a feeling the top positions will be mostly Scandenavian drivers and then of course Loeb. edited to avoid confusion Last edited by TarmacSpec06; 02-05-2007 at 05:50 PM. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | maybe it's wishful thinking, but I think Petter has a chance for the podium - maybe not the win, but I think the top 3 in order will be Loeb, Marcus and Petter, with Gardemeister as the dark horse. Sordo is too inexperienced in the snow to have much of an impact. And don't rule out Daniel Carlson - I'm not positive he has a seat for Sweden, but it's his home rally so he may make a push. |

| Professional STI Driver | This won't be a popular question here but I'm going to pose it any way: Should Petter retire? After his mistake on day two losing 14 minutes and then Subaru retiring his effort, I can't think Petter is a as competitive as he used to be. As for Subaru, I was going to go down and see the intro of the new "Impreza" in Mexico but at this point I wonder if something were to happen if Subaru won't quit and go home taking the fun for the fans away again? Is the 12 chassis rule in play here or is Subaru just being cheap? I'm a huge Petter/Subaru fan, but this has got to stop or they need to start spending their money elsewhere.
