IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | Robert.. Your instruction does not say that we need to remove the TGV Sensor to remove bolt #7. But somehow I had a hard time removing the bolt on ground point #7. The 14mm socket just can't snug fit into the bolt because my extension was hitting the AC stainless line so if I forced it then I would probably twist the bolt. I tried another way from behind the AC line. The extension was hitting the TGV sensor. So I removed the TGV sensor to get clearance for the wrench extension then yes. the 14mm socket snugged in nicely. I guess I forgot that the TGV sensor is a spring loaded sensor when I installed it back. Then I got P1086 and I could not erase this using my OBD2 scanner. I write this here just in case somebody is experiencing the same thing. I bought socket wrench and extension @ Walmart. Others might not have to remove the TGV sensor in order to remove the bolt but somehow I had to. Sorry if you get confused... This ad is not endorsed by this member. I will put that warning in there as advised, but I dont think its a requirement *shrug*. Thank you for your input though and Im sorry that, that happened! Hopefully everything is A-ok now ![]() Robert~ |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | Consider this: When you drive your car during nice weather.. Temperature is just perfect. Not too cold not too hot.. That's how it feels ![]() I can see I am gaining gas mileage but not confirmed.. I think I would let the ECU re-learn everything first.. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2003 Trader Rating: (2) | Kit went on easy, except for the ground point 7 which was a huge pain, yet totally possible w/o removing TGV sensor. Car took about 5-6 seconds to start afterwards and using that quick 5 second method of resetting your ECU to maximum benefit, I feel the car is running great. I haven't noticed a hp increase really, but the car definately runs smoother, idles better and the interior lights appear to be a bit brighter (can't tell on the headlights). Overall, I am very pleased.....cheap, yet VERY effective mod!!!!! |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2003 Trader Rating: (2) | Thank you for another positive feedback . Im actually looking into making a kit WITHOUT that one point and drop the price however much accordingly. As it isnt 100% necessary, as I found a couple of stock wires taht are in that area (which would suffice as you're pulling the load off of the rest of the grounding wires - with the direct connection grounding kit) and I could drop the price and bypass that part to make the kit 10x easier and that way no one will have any problems. What do you guys think? I have no problem either way, but I am asking you all.Robert~ This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
