You know, it doesn't speak very highly of an individual to come onto this web site and bash the integrity of an individual who has arguably contributed more to this overall forum than perhaps anyone else! I think your argument, as valid as you may feel it to be would be better discussed through PMs or a personal phone call to Rob. Perhaps when you two come to an agreement, whether it be mutual or just to disagree, then maybe it would be more appropriate to share it with the rest of the forum. But your mudslinging and personal insults (as quoted above) are not appreciated by the rest of us. I do not approve of personal or blatant intellectual attacks on another individual who is simply trying to better himself by helping others in their own personal interests. While I am certainly not a moderator, I will be reporting this thread to the mods and hope that they choose to either give you a stern warning or suggest it to be moved to PM's. Thankyou.....

Calm down bro, I'm sure there are others who would gladly feel the need to cut and paste theories applicable to other engines and pulleys just to "debate" you, but not me. I don't give a sh$t about other cars. When you can find some info regarding the EJ257 and damage due to lightened crank pulleys then you get thumbs up from me. Until then, you are doing what every other self-appointed tech God has done with this specific topic. Run it into the ground....

Hey Robert, I installed my light weight pulley. Using your well written instructions even someone like me was able to install it with out problems. The car runs like its 100 pounds lighter . Thank you for this great mod and for the fast shipping.

Also slo-poke you can say there is a damper on the stock unit but SOA says there isn’t, and truthfully I find them much more credible than you. No offensive I am sure you are very technical and maybe you have had problems in the past with other cars to turn you away from this mod. I also appreciate your concern for you fellow car enthusiast, but we has substantial evidence to back or side

did you talk to SOA or are you just saying that? The Subaru maint manuals say "damper" right in them. I think this has always been the fuel for that fire...

Hate to bring this thread back because its been resting for a bit over a week now, but will this void the warranty? (I know dealers are different, but just trying to get an idea)

I used a pulley on my old WRX. No problems. The stock pulley has NO DAMPENER. I know because I have held it in my hands and it HAS NO DAMENER. Show me 1 Subaru motor that has crank walk that has pulleys installed. In the past 6 years I've been following Subarus I have not seen of heard of 1. Some BMW's and Mitsubishis have had problems with them and it is well documented. Many variables go into whether a car will have problems with a lighted or undampened pull. Subaru obviously designed the car to not use one, since they didn't put a dampend pulley on stock. Go pull your pulley off your car and look at it. Then come back and apologize for being such an asshole.

It's always good to have a devil's advocate, especially on new parts. But seriously, that guy was just over the top.

Anyway, looking forward to getting a pulley and offering my honest opinion on it.

I don't think Robert has sold them for a while. The irony is that I have had one for 2 years, and just installed it this weekend.
