The product is new with, whereas the idea is not. This is one of those subjects that has also been beat to death. I think I've actually read where one or two people have had what they "thought" was problems with lightweight pullies, but could never actually prove it was related to them. The other people were always scared because they thought that it would lead to an eventual crankshaft inbalance due to the lighter pully not being dampened. That said...I'd be bold enough to say that 95% of the people with a "quality" lightweight pully are pleased. I've had mine now for well over 20,000 miles with ZERO problems. Just buy the thing...you'll appreciate it's simplicity, ease of function and overall performance benefit. If ANYTHING goes wrong, I know that Robert will stand behind his product!.....

1. Rob will take care of you, if need be.

2. There's not wrong with "trial and error" and wanting to "be sure" before doing something to you car.

Rob, what's the situation with the pullies? They ready to sell yet?

We are waiting on our total for the full kits (As we are going to do full pulley kits). The thing keeping us on hold is the spline in the PS pulley I believe. The cost of the tools to make it happen is just not logical. As soon as we have an answer we will let everyone know. If worse comes to worse, we'll probably end up just selling the alternator and crank pulley and leaving the PS pulley alone. (Although they are pretty dead set on making it happen). As soon as I get any info I will let you know. Thanks guys!

We have customers that have WRXs with pulleys on them for 60-80K miles with no problems. I have had lightweight crank pulleys on my car for 40K miles no problem. I have put as much as $10,000 in mods on my car with a crank pulley and still had no problems. I don't honestly know of a case where there has been a problem and it was actually proven that the CP was the fault. In the NASIOC FAQ they have emails from SOA saying it is ok. Even though I am not a fan of Agency Power's quality, TRIAL said that their engine break down on their 500wHP+ race car with a lightwieght crank pulley was better then any of their previous break downs.

BTW I have 4000-5000 Miles on OUR crank pulley so far and not one issue. I am going to pull it off at 10000 miles just to show how well the NiRad coating and the durability of the pulley is. I am also doing an oil change and will report the data as I am interested to see if the wear of the engine will change with 80-90% of the crank pulley's mass removed (5 or 6lbs reduced to < 1lb).

The lightweight crank pulley is a great mod and is awesome. When we release our lightweight driveshafts and rotors... that will make this even better. Removing as much as 60lbs+ in rotational mass off the wheels/crank/driveshaft will make the car a monster in terms of quickness/response.

Robert~

Upon further review, I've decided this lightweight crank pulley is a BAD idea. Good luck to those who are using them.

We have 25 crank pulleys coming for those who have ordered and are backordered. We will have 100 full pulley kits coming when our deal with section 8 is cleared up next month. Thank you for your patience from those who are waiting and your pulleys will be ready very soon!

Well on our 04 STI with tons of mods it never had a problem with the pulley and with our 05 putting down over 370whp on multiple occassions with different turbos never had a problem (the gfb pulleys on the 05).

How hard is it really to install? Is it really that involved? Got some diagrams on the installation? Side-note: that is a great looking pulley......I bet the CAD time was long designing the structure and integrity......too bad I didn't see this when I ordered my Perrin!!!! Congrats Static X!

We did a write up in the vendor announcement section where we will end up doing all of our mod of the week things. It takes literally 30 minutes and after doing so many i can probably get it done in 15 if i hurry. Very simple task with a breaker bar.

Thanks a ton Chris.

Mike - we have a batch of 25 in the process. Sorry for the long delay on this.
