**HiJack**

just wanna thank rob for being a great vendor. How he stays on top of things as well as he does... is a think of legends. He's working on an issue I'm having with Invidia and i just wanna publically take my hat for to ya bro.

Scott,

He will still need to make the other pulleys (he should have the ps prototype done today or soon). Although he should have crankpulleys ready.

Brett =P Anytime Bro, the big guys have to learn the hard way sometimes and thats why I can't justify hiring tons of people, because the salesman don't understand how manufacturing works, the manufacturers don't understand how the sales works, and the boss has no clue anything is even going on. They just care about their weekly salary and not the customer and that is going to tear them up. Great products, horrible people (that we've dealt with).

Robert~

Question

I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff but I read somewhere that it's not a good idea to replace the stock pulley with an aftermarket one that doesn't have a built-in harmonic dampener like the stock unit has. The article implied that without the dampener, engine life would suffer. The features list for the staticX piece didn't mention anything about a dampener. Any comments on this?

NASIOC has an FAQ on this and has been confirmed by SOA as fine. Please see if you can find that (and I will look as well). I've had a lightweight pulley for over 30K miles of the car's life, friends with WRX's have had them for 60K+ miles, etc. I've never heard of or seen a problem with the stock sized lightweight crank pulley. Thanks guys and if you have anymore questions, let me know.

Thx for the reply, Robert. I'll try to find that faq on NASIOC as I am interested in your pulleys but want to know all the facts before I make the plunge. The idea of a more responsive engine definitely sounds good. Just for reference, here's the article I read:

Found the faq and many other threads and am convinced that this mod will not hurt my engine. When will StaticX have the entire pulley set available. I want one, preferably in Red or Blue.

Robert,

Looks like a great piece. Just sent you an email with a couple comments.

Best,
