All turbo wrap and downpipe wrap kits are up to date and shipped. Here is the dilemna we had with them.

When ordering the turbo wrap materials, they came with wire to obviously thread the wrap, tie it down, etc. However it did not come with much. We were buying $100 packs to get 2 kits worth of wire, obviously this does not make any sense. We started looking for wire to use from other places. An endless search turned us to asking the ThermoTech , Tech's , about it. They said it was a 20gauge monel wire. Ok cool, now we have something better to go off of (as this sits on a turbo, thousands of degress, etc... I wasn't going to use some home depot wire), after searching for that, we finally found some. It comes in... it looks like its been sitting on the back of a shelf. Old looking, wrapper is all rotted away, covered in dirt/dust/etc. So we chunk that (As we are not selling our customers crap) and I finally just go from industrial place to place for help. They all give me weird looks, but I finally get a name of an engineering/industrial parts book. Sure enough my dad's friend has one. We look up Monel wire and it says its rated to 750 degrees... now I am like what the heck? Granted if the Thermo Tech guys use it, it must be ok, but we end up spending the extra cash and buying the Chromium Aluminum (i believe it was) wire. Good up to 1750 degrees. So we are extremely sorry about the delay with your orders, but we have the right wire, all the materials, and everything ready to go. All turbo wrap orders will be shipped in a timely fashion now. We are going to offer a 20G TD06H turbo wrap as well soon. Thank you!

Robert~

Now what about making them so that they are a lace up type of wrap instead of it just being an unraveled edge?

What exactly do you mean by lace up? Can you post a pic?

I cannot think of where to get a pic but I have seen them before for other turbos. Basically it is stitched around the edges with eyelets to run the wire through. This provides a much cleaner install.

I think I know what you mean, but basically this is just a layer of aluminum cover and we simply weave the wire through. With this new wire, it is a chrome in color and really blends in very nicely.

50+ Turbo wrap kits immediately available. Downpipe wraps available as well and are in stock!

There was an issue with the turbo wrap flaking off the aluminum finish on a small batch of wrap (it was shinier then the rest, but that was about it in terms of a noticable difference). If you had an issue with this, please contact us: rschwarze@staticxmotorsports.com and we will have it replaced immediately at no charge. Thank you!

I placed an order earlier this month and was charged on 11/10/05 for the order. I have contacted the sales email with no luck on info about shipping details.

Could you let me know of delays? Thanks a bunch!

I've got a similar setup to what Robert is selling. I've got the thermo-tec cloth wrap and aluminized wrap on my Deadbolt SZ55 along with a Cobb heat shield. It works awesome.

I also have the Gen II Copper exhaust wrap on my Catless Cobb downpipe. Again very happy with both Thermo-tec products.

I cut them out myself and while it wasn't super hard, it is time consuming, a bit of trial & error and you really need a second set of eyes and hands when you are trying to figure out the size(this is for wrapping the turbo).

Robert is a great guy and StaticX is a great company. He is saving you time and having to test fit it etc by offering these kits premade for your setup.

from me for Robert and Thermo-tec products.

(here is a pic of my stock turbo wrapped)

Awesome bro

We are going to also start coating every kit with the black 2000 Degree spray if people want it. If anyone is interested in this, contact us and we will explain further.

Does anyone have pics of the DP wrapped before installation? I did not wrap mine to the top because I thought I was going to install a wide band soon...but it will be a while. I have since re-installed the trimmed stock heat shield.

Robert,
I'd like to pick up a VF39 wrap kit. Does this come with some DP wrap for the top portion as well, or just the turbo wrap?

Also, when I try to check out it charges me s/h even when I use the code. Let me know what's up.
Todd
