Default NC Triad Area meet

Hey all. I'm sure a few of you remember the meet we had a while back at Lewisville square. Had a good turn out, lets do another one.

I don't have a date in mind or maybe change locations too, but I wanted to start a thread to get some input. I know the thread for the last meet there were a few guys in Charlotte and concord that wanted to come and I had suggested a concord meet next time (speedway blvd/mall area) so that some more Charlotte guys could make it. If Concord sounds good, it works for me, but lets throw some Sat. or Sunday afternoon dates out there to see what works for people. I will at Coca Cola 600 the 27th and Driving at VIR June 3, but sometime in mid June works for me.

Nathan

There's some great roads up in Stokes County, near Hanging Rock. Particularly Hwy. 66 between Moore's Springs Rd. and Lynchburg Rd--69 curves in 4 miles. It's like a mini-Dragon.

The only problem is that it's in the middle of NOWHERE. If you get lost on one of the side roads, you might have a hard time finding your way back to civilization. And Verizon is the only cellphone service I know of that works once you get a few miles north of King. I know for sure that Cingular and Sprint do NOT work up there.

Still..if anybody local wants to check it out with me sometime, gimme a holler. There are some truly spectacular roads up there.

edit: If you're unfamiliar with the area: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=3...0675&z=13&om=1

I don't have my date book here with me. As soon as I get my hands on it I'll let the group in Roanoke know and we can try to make it down. If they can't and have to use a seperate meet date. I'll let you know.

Just lookin at the Calendar. Does the 16th or 23th of June work? One better than the other? 16th is sooner so it works for me.

I am scheduled to work that Sat. but its is usually very easy to get someone to swap with saturdays with you, so I'll ask on Monday. Do ya'll wanna do a Concord area meet or Another one around Winston. The two guys in Concord havent posted on here anyways though.

Winston would suit me better. It'll be hard to make two 3 hour trips in one month for meets. I also have to figure what we are doign for a meet here in VA for the month. We may all come down for the Folger meet at the end of the month.
