Whitehouse field Autox today and tomorrow. Just got back & will post a video in my journal shortly. Final touch ups by Autocrafters

We meet the last Thursday of the month at the Tinsel Town P-lot behind Don Pablos from 7 pm on. I'm up for beach meets too since I live out here....

im too lazy to read this whole thread, so where is this whitehouse field, and is there a dragstrip around here anywhere? thanks.

oh and if you guys are meeting the 31st of this month i might be able to go, is tinseltown on southside? if so, how far from phillips?

Mapquest Driving Directions
From South of Whitehouse
Merge onto I-95 North
Merge onto I-295 North via exit number 337- on the left- toward ORANGE PARK
Merge onto I-10 W via exit number 21B toward LAKE CITY/TALLAHASSEE. 5.0 miles
Take the exit- exit number 351- toward WHITEHOUSE/CECIL FIELD. 0.2 miles
Keep LEFT at the fork in the ramp. <0.1 miles
Turn LEFT onto CHAFFEE RD S/CR-115C. 0.2 miles
Turn LEFT onto W BEAVER ST/FL-10/US-90. 1.2 miles
Turn RIGHT onto HALSEMA RD N. 2.7 miles
HALSEMA RD N becomes FOREST TR RD. 0.4 miles
Airfield at the end of the Road.

Tinsel Town is not too far from Phillips depending on what part you're talking about. It's north of JTB on Southside Blvd. Eastside of Southside Blvd. Big Parking lot.....Tinsel Town Movie Theater is there, Don Pablos, 7 Bridges, etc....

We're usually not too far from the VW crowd....

thanks for the directions, i saw those vids from ur journal, one question tho, ive never been to an autox or anything, etc but how do u know which cones to go through/around lol. i feel dumb asking. haha

Not a dumb question at all. You get to walk the course before you run to sort things out. Then you go out and knock cones over .

Cones in a line is a slalom, so you weave in and out. A cone laying next to another cone is a "pointer cone" and tells you which side to pass on. Gates are cones beside each other with a space between them big enough for your car to pass thru. Eyebrows were conceived by Satan and are hard to describe but there are a couple in my video.

Come and check it out. Lots of Subys tomorrow!! Let me know if you think you'll go and I'll let the gate worker know to let you in. WHitehouse is a Navy airfield and security requires a list of attendees in advance but we can deal with that.

We also run road courses in St. Aug and G'ville.

I dont think I'll be able to make it tomorrow, i have to work thanks for all the info, and those links, however i couldnt find anywhere that stated if there was a minimum age?

Electron is right....you can compete as early as 15! I started at 45 , ha ha .....better late than never......

Sucked that we got kicked out of Whitehouse by the Navy today by 1 pm....only 3 runs each. Got second in STU behind Rich.....He did a 39.X and I was 40.0X.....video of my best run here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...63019272905282

Damn Navy, I didn't even clock a time until my third run. Could have used a fourth or five, or sixth, seven and eighth. Nah, it probably wouldn't have helped. Congrats to Rich on the win today.

Thanks, think I knocked my alignment out on my second run. I'll have to get checked tomorrow when I get the new tires put on. Good thing for today, I finally figured out my car and my kid had a blast.
