So, It turns out that our very own Subaru of Jax is a dealer for Deadbold Enterprizes, guys that make all the bolt on turbos for our cars, like SZ49 and TD06-20G. Pretty nice to know if somebody is looking to upgrade their turbo.

I was dropping off my bike at Ademacs around 6:45 last night and while at the 9a and Atlantic overpass light, a sweet White STI turned left and got on it going up the on ramp to 9A north.

The car had what looked like some kinda gunmetal or steel gray wheels, and lowered a lot.

Looked a little like a TXS RFL exhaust...??!! Maybe..??!!

Anyway, that thing was very fast going up the ramp...

Who is that..?? What mods do you have..??

That may have been Bill the parts manager from Subaru.

Looks like I'll miss this meet as it looks more doubtful that my ride will be here by the end of the month. Here's the word from the Suby dealership:

"Karl,
my General Manager checked on the status this morning on you STI and due to 911 security reasons it has not cleared the port yet. They have still estimated this month, but I do not think it will make it. I will keep you posted sinse I am checking almost every day now on the status.

I got a white one, but I know it wasn't me, there are 3-4 white ones in the City, but I don't know how many are modded or what they have done to it.

I met this one guy at Jax Raceways with a white STI and he had turboback, UTEC, electronic boost controller and some other stuff (don't remember exactly), his car is pretty quick, but I don't remember what kind of wheels he has.

Thanks Alex, I might just do that....again! The dealer has been up front with me (as far as I can tell) about this and has expressed his own disappointment with the delay. I didn't realize that the port it arrives in is on the west coast. Then I think it goes by rail then by truck to the dealership. Holy crap, the '06's might be on the lot before I get it!

I don't think 06 will be there that fast, good luck with getting your car.

I went through a year of debating before I finally went out and got mine, so I know what waiting is like.

Anyway, reminder that there is a meet Thursday night (last Thursday of the month) at the Tinseltown P-lot near Don Pablos at 7 pm. Not sure if I'll be there since I'm still STI-less (dude, where's my car?) but if I do, I'll be the old dude drooling on your car. - Karl
