I would say "messed up" is an understatement. But he is Ok and I am sure there was a lot of pride hurt, but pride and cars are repairable.

LCPOTD! (LC as in lost count)

Dave - stop by SoJax to see the carnage.

Rich - I think we should see just how big Rick's head gets while we lavish him with accolades regarding his car.

im going to guess...

the timing box/score trailer with the concrete barriers was too close... as usual... to the actual course and karl lost control and hit the barrier...

i noticed that the last time i came out to a JMS autox... they put the scorebox in the worst possible position and whoever sets up these courses should think a little bit ahead to prevent stuff like this...

No, we just didn't want rampant speculation across teh interweb while the insurers and insurees were sorting the facts out.

wow i am totally stopping by Sojax today. What did you bump into Karl??? A guy crashed his brand new Z06 into a building at the autox I went to when I was in WV. Problem was said building was like waaaayyyyy out of the way. Appparently the dude underestimate his Z06's power.

Did Karl happen to catch his transgressions on video?? I know they will not be posted immediately but someday.

Sorry about your car Karl, hope she gets better soon. Keep your chin up!

Thanks for the input after the fact, and what concrete barriers. And the guys do try to think ahead but for some reason some people think they need to complain about the course setup everytime because it doesnt suit their car. Therefore it gets completely changed from the initial thought to keep them happy. I dont know of these concrete barriers you are talking about.

The last JMS/SCCA autox i went to was out at the greencove testing area... the scoring box in the middle was blocked by concrete wall sections (the barriers). At the end, they did a quick slolom and then straitened out to go through the timing box... if someone would have lost control and slid about 20 feet they may have slammed into the scoring box/walls.... but we havent run that course in some time now....

Im not trying to change any courses, im just trying to offer feedback on what i saw last time i was out.

We were at Whitehouse Airfield. No barriers.
