OK, now I now what the "nice big shiney thing" is.....we're all getting FMIC envy!! Now we know who likes to install their mods themself ....so we can call on you to help us do ours! Help me with my Defi install perhaps?

Anyway, nice meeting you guys last night. Sweet looking rides!!

I'll find the local SCCA school link and put it back out for any one interested....I think maybe Steve was.

Anyone, interested in some sort of standing monthly meeting? It could gradually grow with other STi owners attending and/or merge with an existing group......just a thought. Not sure if that lot is the best place to meet although it is near where I live ....and close to a cold pint of Guinness at Lynch's....

Good meeting you too Karl. I think it would be a pretty good idea too, to meet up atleast once a month and try to get some other STi's and wrx's in the mix. I'm also open to different locations too. The beach isn't the nearest place for me.

I know we were talking EM a little the other nite. Here's a recent thread on AP that may be of interest:

The link to the SCCA site where my buddy did the driving school cheap is:

I look forward to meeting up with you guys again!

What's up guys?

Seems like I missed my own thread and a meeting.

Anyways, let me know when you set up another one so I can show up, hopefully I won't be out of the country then.

Hey UA,

start a thread and leave the country eh? See what you started? We're trying to come up with a standing meeting now....not sure if there isn't one already in the Jax area or not. Anyway, first meeting was at Lynch's last Thursday: 2 STi's & 1 WRX, ......hey, it's a start.

I guess we need to each throw out a time and place for consideration? Do we want to stick with Thursday evening (last Thursday of the month) at 7:30? I'm not completely opposed to weekend meets either......

Jax pier parking lot is a fairly busy spot these days so if we get a bunch of cars showing up then we may be spread out.

Another issue is legality of organized group gathering in a public area. Not sure how cool the cops are once the group gets larger. Probably not an issue if the group is small, but probably need to consider this if it grows.

Anybody been in a car club before that would know more about this?

It was a pretty nice weekend except for the lack in waves... on Sunday me and a few buddy's went for a bike ride through Jax and Atlantic beach and after we had a B&Q and lots to drink, and lets just say memorial day was a day of rest, not to mention I had to be at work at 6:00am today so not too much happened last night...
How was your weekend STI John? I like 3 day weekends because the week days always go by quicker

Weekends are fine, so are late afternoons.

Cops at the Beach generally don't like gatherings, we used to get together there on bikes and they would break us up (they were pretty cool about it, even said they don't mind us being there, but it's against the law - there is a sign in front of all the parking lots that says "No Gatherings)). However in the city - it's not an issue. We can get together somewhere in the larger parking lots (Tinseltown or some other movie theater) and that won't be a problem at all. At Tinseltown we would get 50-100 bikers and sit there for 1-2 hours and nobody would say a word to us at all.

I'm not sure if you guys at the Beach don't mind taking a 15 minute drive, although right now with 4-5 cars I doubt anybody would make a big deal about it.

Sounds good to me. I get the feeling that I won't mind driving my STi an extra 15 minutes or so! BTW, I checked with the dealer yesterday and he said it is still due end of June.....
