4.2 Qts and no more. Of course you have to buy 5 to get there....

Boosted, if you read my previous post you would see that the $9 includes the oil filter and the gasket.....not just the price of the gasket. And the coupon at the dealer is for a $22 oil change including filter. From the oil filter reviews I've read the Suby one is better than the aftermarket filters anyway......So...like I said before, considering the cost of the filter, oil and my labor cost, it still looks like it may cost less at the dealer with the coupon than doing it myself. I'll find out for sure.....~Karl

Thats so funny, awesome vid

So I checked the dipstick and its got me the size of a pinky nail over the F mark, not a huge error margin but I guess this wednesday I'll drain a little out.

BTW, anyone here go to Jax saturday night? There was a few wrx's I talked with, anyone on here?

Hey electron, I doubt "slightly" over will hurt anything.....might not be worth dumping unless your doing an oil change anyway. ~Karl

The size of a pnky nail over, is a little much to be over. Like a hair over is good man but your about .8 of a quart over. I would drain it out. I always underfill by a .25 of a quart for that room. When you are in the middle of the low and full dots, that your margin. Its your call though, your $30k.

Yeah karl it might be cheaper and faster to go through the dealer for ya, especially since your still running dyno oil. I just heard the dealer charges $30 in labor to change the oil.

Boosted, 10-4, I'll find out for sure. I'll plan to change it myself if it's going to be $30 in labor cost. Besides, it's pretty easy after the fiasco I went thru on the first change...now shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes. I'm thinking about putting off the switch to synthetic until 5k or so....got 900 miles on her now.

Yeah, I guess if a pinky nail =0.8 qts it's a tad much....but if it was 0.2 qts over I would think there is enough of a safety margin built in to the dip stick to prevent any damage......

Ok then tomorrow I'll drain just a bit out and see where I'm at on the dipstick. BTW Steve, I'll swing by the shop sometime tomorrow mid day with the jackstands.
