Well "most" recomended I would say harman motive. As for who I would recomend hb speed, by far. Great prices, people, work (I dont work for them). I cant justify $500 for one protune map.

I second HB speed... better prices, and an AWESOME tuner!

Jon also tuned all the ESX cars that Subaru sells WITH a warranty! If they trust him, so do it.

With just a downpipe and tune, he brought me from 235whp/255wtq to 292whp/326wtq

Did Harman raise their prices? I paid $450 for two maps.

OP: I think Harman is the best. I had never even heard of HB speed until very recently. Never met anyone who's been tuned by them. Most of the major built Subies in Socal are tuned by Harman or Crawford.

They did infact raise their prices As if they weren't making enough money in the first place. As for hb speed not being "known" that means nothing! I can understand how a shops credibility and image can make a huge difference in someones dicision. Hb dosen't promote anywhere near as much as harman. One call to hb speed and im pretty sure anyone would go to them.

It's a one on one basis instead of, "you're a number" type deal. Jon is the best tuner I have ever met. And if it means anything to anyone jon actually was one of harmans tuners when they opened. So take it for what it is..

You realize that Jon at HB used to be one of Harman's best tuners?

He set-off to make his own company, and his prices and service can't be beat at the moment... at least from what I shopped around, and spent time researching.

One more vote for HM. I don't have any expereince with HB Speed. When I went in for my Pro-tune, about an hour in, Dan comes out and says "Bad news for me, good news for you." He then proceeds that my tune is so spot on using a Cobb Stage 2 map that a I'm not going to see any improvement after a Pro-tune. So I just paid for the dyno runs and he sent me on my way. Pretty honest in my book.

I would call back. Last time i called it was 500 for a normal fuel map and a meth map. Then any additional tune, say you add a new turbo cost 200. It can be 2 years after your original tune and you just pay 200.

No, I didn't realize that.

How many cars did he tune at Harman before he left?
