Dear Subie Extravaganza participants,

In order to make this event as successful as possible for Subie Extravaganza participants, we put together this email to provide our participants with some basic info and arrival times. Preregistration has closed, but we will still be accepting car show and karting tournament signups at the door (limited to availability). Spectators are free to bring their friends and family out to experience the Subaru culture and enjoy the most exciting Subie event to hit the West Coast. Don't forget to check out HPI's Arrive and Drive Drifting Races.

FOR CAR SHOW PARTICIPANTS: Participant arrival, briefing, and setup will begin promptly at 8:00am. Please arrive on time. If you arrive late, you risk being assigned a space that you may not prefer so be sure to arrive on time. Please wait to enter the car show area until you have confirmed your registration and received your car show documents. Subie Extravaganza opens to the public at 11:00am and all participants in the car show are expected to arrive early. If you will be arriving late, please contact Damion at the contact details below.



FOR KARTING PARTICIPANTS: Participant arrival, sign-up, and driver briefing will begin promptly at 10:15am. Please arrive on time. If you arrive late, you risk not being assigned to a sequence of races that you prefer so be sure to arrive on time. Subie Extravaganza opens to the public at 11:00am and all participants in the karting tournament are expected to arrive early. If you will be arriving late, please contact Damion at the contact details below.



Only park in acceptable locations. After you have unloaded your display, you may park your vehicle in the green shaded areas on the image attached to this email.

A = Dromo 1's location on the street
Red = Dromo 1's indoor karting facility
Green shaded area = There is parking lot on the north-west corner of W. Katella Ave and N. Main St., which is marked in green on the attached image. You may also park on W Trenton Ave, which is just north of Dromo 1 and is also marked in Green.

There are several 'No Parking' signs along N. Main St so don't park there.


Final Reminders:
Don't be late.
Please do not forget to bring a copy of your receipt (usually generated via Paypal).
Don't forget sunscreen.
Don't forget your camera or video camera to capture some unique footage to showoff on your favorite forum plus you could win some cash:

I'm so upset I had to miss it... How did everything go?

Subie Extravaganza turned out to be quite the success! I was pleasntly surprised at how many big subaru tuning companies were there, and how many top notch time attack and track subies were on display. The rally representation was not as big as the show car guys, but thats to be expected... I mean rally peeps would rather be in the dirt than standing around in a parking lot all day! Well enough talk, heres some of the snapshots i took.

First, let me congratulate msgsti217 for winning the "Dirtiest Subaru" portion of the car show! I was able to get on stage and present an awesome custom trophy with etched DirtyImpreza.com logo on the nameplate. He also walked with $100! The other contenders were pretty weaksauce (sorry guys, its true!), but it was good to see some people at least attempting. HUGE thanks goes out to Kevin @ Socal Subies for putting this event on, and getting DI involved. Hats off!!!

I have no idea if Subie Extravaganza is going to be going on next year, but hopefully it will. There was literally thousands of dollars worth of product raffled away. I was impressed with how many people got REALLY sweet prizes (Carbon Fiber Driveshafts, Downpipes, Accessports...) Thank you to everyone that attended and supported this event. Support your local subaru meets and gatherings!
