as fun as it was i don't think i'm going to do another one any time soon. the price for some fun became to real in a hurry. i now need to paint the right side of the car, as well as both side skirts. my rota sdr's are trashed, the right rear wheel is missing chunks of metal and the others have deep gouges in them. there was one extremely fun 50-75 yard left turn that was taken sideways from begining to end, it felt so good, but caused most of the damage to the car. also damaged was the exhaust, i havent looked at it yet but, i can hear a leak near the mid pipe.

all in all it was a lot of fun. i know if you want to play you have to pay. don't get me wrong, i'm not *****ing. i want others to think about what they are about to do.

on a side note i met jrich at the event, two thumbs up. i very nice person.

ted

bah... body damange is cool... its like war scares
I have some pics.. of both of us.. i will post them tonight.. some good ones

I thought i had screwed my car up on that one.. BAD shake on the way home... come to find out it was the caked on dirt.. removed it and it was smooth as could be at 120 again
it screwed up the tire balance..
good race

i moved from 30 of 33 for the first 3 laps to 23 of 30 in the end... if i hadnt screwed off in the first two laps (took out 6 cones - cone king) i would have been like 3rd for my class ( was 6 out of 8)

you are right tho.. my rims are all dinged up.. but its pretty much just on the inside so you cant see it.. dont care that much... new rims soon i think

you should hit up the SOLO2 at NHIS... might like that a bit more.. all street stuff but like we did.. good times there

was nice to meet you ted..

If you're really going to rally/rally-cross, the car needs some prep. Skid plates, mud flaps, different wheels (I can't believe you went offroading on SDR's ). Did you have any of these things? More and proper prep should prevent most of the major damage.

Rally cross looks like it's fun as hell, but I wouldn't go out without all of the above.

well i need skid plates and tires.. other than that i dont see the harm... even the bottom is well covered as it.. but could use more/better
the rims.. well they are getting eaten to hell but like i said mostly on the inside so you cant really see it.. they still look great... looking in to get some TH3s to toss on there and tires.. need to find tires i like first :-/

but yeah its fun as hell

if i found the boot right away, it might not have been that bad......a new axle is on its way, to much dirt in the cv joint, at a hard hitting 450.00. ouch. those pics are great!!!!!!
the exhaust was pushed up enough that the flange bent causing a leak. i was able to bend it back and it seems ok now
