Default Rally racing ever televised??

I remember watching Rally racing like EVERYDAY when I was in Poland on vacation, europeans are soooo into it...

I mean, isnt it a great sport? Its true skill, art of driving, and mastering car balance and manuveuring! and CRAAZY!!!!!! Ice, Snow, forests, dirt, mud, mountain cliffs, I mean come on! Its adrenaline pumped fear factor driving!

Everytime I put the SPEED channel on, or ESPN2, What do i get??

NASCAR!

HOW THE $##$ DO YOU PEOPLE WATCH THAT ****?

BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

BLAH!!!!!!!!!

I guess americans are really into watching a car lap around a ring at a fast rate for a long extended time.. BO-Bo-bo-bo----RRRINGG! How can that seriously be ENTERTAINING? Can i get my beer and popcorn and fukn go home!

I live right across a speedway that races stockcars on a track, and they have these hopped up 355+hp crate motor stock cars doing the same ****, when me and my friends get smashed on saturdays, we just like to go there and kill some time, and eventually leave really fast.. heh!

Why o why can't there be more rally racing coverage?

Not only that, but im damned with 56k dialup because I live in the woods!

Thats my rant, and i have dishnetwork if anyone can let me know if they have any rally specials at certain times/dates!

Cheeers my fellow STi friends!

I feel your pain. Wish there were more channels dedicated to rally racing, but instead we get NASCAR, 'racing' geared towards degenerate rednecks. No skill involved whatsoever, it's just sad.

Must argue.

I agree rally racing is THE superior form of motorsports.
As a NASCAR fan who goes to at least two races a year and watches many more on TV, I can tell you that it's not just cars going in circles.
These are some of the most difficult cars to control in the world. Every time they go around a turn, they're doing a controlled slide.
If you push the accelerator or brake too hard you spin out.
The tracks may all look the same to the uninitiated, but the subtle differences cause the teams to look at shocks, springs and a myriad of other factors.
Just the difference of cloud cover can make a huge impact.
The reason the races are so long, is that the cars are so equal it takes time for the cream to rise to the top.
Rally races have spectacular crashes, but not twenty cars at a time going 175mph.
Boring? I think not.
Except for the stupid announcers touting how great everyone is.

Sorry, but someone has to speak up for the poor NASCAR people who drive million dollar RVs.

p.s. We do need more rally coverage in the US.

I think this is the only reason people go to or watch NASCAR races. If there was not a single crash in a NASCAR race people would stop watching it, rally on the other hand is awsome to watch whether a car crashes or not.

dude, sorry for your pain. i do know how you feel about rally. before i came over here in europe, i would only watch rally thru my local scca events, and if i was lucky, some times on speed vision. i have been over here in europe for almost 4 years now, and its heaven for rally, every night, rally high lights from the day. wrc all day long fri sat, and sun. its gre@t!!! i love rally. this sti is not the 1 st awd car that i have owned. since i am from the big ak (alaska) i have owned a few awd or 4x4. my 1st car was a galant vr4 (tommi makinen edition lol no #12/1000 and still kicking) than i got a a4 quarto, than a 91 talon tsi, than an evo 8, and most resonantly the 06 sti. and i have to say that the sti is the most balanced car of them all. i love that it has the potential of becoming a beast, but at the same time can get you to and from work in a civilized manor. thats just tooo bad the c. McRae died. i used to love to watch him come in and drive under special occasions for ford in the wrc like he did last year. i get to see the up's and downs like when lobe 1st wrecked, and when marcus gronholm started to dominate the wrc. all i have to say, is watch it on you tube. the best place for news, and tv if you are not in the area to watch it.

it just seems very borring, my father in law loves that nascar, i cant stand to watch it on tv. i guess in person its a whole different story thow, like the wrc, its great to watch on tv, but in real life, having to drive to every stage, and than meet at the service park after every other run, too much work just to watch 5 to 6 sec of a car fly bye. its way better to watch on tv. but i had to go to say that i have been to a wrc event!!! wrc germany rocks!!!! with free vip passes, cant go wrong!!!
