IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | I signed up today. No chance in golly-gosh-darn of even a podium finish in BSP, but it'll be a lot of fun. I'm planning on camping out. I'll be sporting #67 http://www.scca.com/event.aspx?hub=3&event=5632 This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. | STI Driver | Not this time for me. Too much BS going on in the ST classes. Plus I don't have enough prep in my car to justify going. Maybe next year though if they get these rules straightened out. |

I'm not sure what to expect and I'm going to try cutting costs and camp out instead of getting a hotel room. I just wonder if I'll get tired of hanging out in the evening?

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2004 Trader Rating: (6) | Most likely. My co-driver and I will be piloting his mostly STU prepped Evo VIII RS. It'll be our first time at Nationals as well. We expect to get our a$$'s handed to us, but it should be fun no matter |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | I'll be at Nationals in a BSP '04 STi. It'll be my rookie appearance. I have no expectations except I hope to meet a lot of the cool people on this website and have fun driving. I've been having a little discussion on SCCAforums about the need to bring a shop manual, not that I believe I've done anything that could be protested, or that I'll even finish high enough for anyone to worry about my place. But the conversation has been something of a downer. Is anyone bringing a shop manual? http://sccaforums.com/forums/261793/...ad.aspx#261793 |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | Andy, you towing that thing with the STi??? That would be sweet. I won't be going to nationals for the following reasons: 1 - Not yet interested in driving all that way for less than 6 minutes of seat time during which I'll get my a$$ handed to me. Maybe next year I will though. 2 - I had a little issue recently which needs to be fixed first. 3 - The recent issue around emissions and rule changes masked as clarifications of clarifications turned me off a bit. I'm waiting to see how the dust settles and if there are any protests. 4 - I already committed to going to a work retreat in upper wisconsin where I listen to people talk for a bit during the day, but mostly eat a bunch and then disinfect my blood stream. I figure that I'd still like to do endlinks, possibly rear camber plates, lightweight battery, an intake, tune, AP, strut bar(s), and maybe headers just for fun. I also haven't even looked at the bushings for tranny, dif, etc. When I need new rotors I'll probably look at something lighter too. And maybe lighter wheels. But maybe I'm moderately prepared. Does that sound better?

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (21) | ^ none of that stuff is really gonna make you much faster tho... good, no doubt. However you still look like you have a good setup |

| Junior STI Driver | I'll be there in my '05 STU prepped vehicle. I don't know how competitive I'll be since I am changing to a new suspension set-up about a week prior to Nationals, but I'll keep my fingers crossed. |

| STI Driver | So you're going to let me try your car with the new set up, nice! I just wonder how much of what you've done with your car I can do with my car. Oh well, next year we'll just end up having different setups and we'll see which one works better. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
