Default Auto-x prices around the country and # of runs

I was just curious, what do members and non-members pay to race and how many runs do you usually get? We were talking about this in our solo meeting on Thursday.
Utah Region: $25 member & $30 non-member and usually 8 runs.

Thats what members and non-members pay here in CT. We get 5 official runs and usually 2-3 fun runs after at $2 a run. During the fun runs you can also bring a passenger so you can see what others are doing and how their setup works compared to yours.

For the record, you guys suck. We are LUCKY to get 4 runs. $30 members $40 non. Fun runs are for the winter series only. We also usually get about 200 drivers for any one particular event during the summer. I heard the last event they had 6 runs. BTW, our courses are usually about 55 to 60 seconds. I don't know if you are getting the same lenght for your events.

you guys are lucky..

here in the SF bay area we usually get three. I only have been to one event where we got 4 or 5 runs and that was because it was raining and with low attendance. The cost is $30 for members.

Our courses are always under a min, I would like to say anywhere from 45 secs to 60 secs.

Usually always under 125 people. 200 seems pretty insane...

track days, closer to 250-300, vs auto x about 30-40 a day.

They are completely different in their own ways.

Track days are alot more unsafe since your runningwith alot of people, while in auto-x they run it so you are on the track by yourself or with another person.

Here in Cali, some tracks are as little as $100 per day (Horsethief mile) while others are as much as $240 (Laguna Seca). Usually you get about 5 sessions of 25-30 minutes and sometimes extra sessions if the day goes smoothly. I have done as much as 125 track miles in one day.

Redline time attack races are $200 for a race day, including transponder, and you get a $2 trophy if you do well! You will get two 20 minute practice sessions and then two races made up of 1 warm up lap, 3 individualy timed race laps, and then a cool off lap each.

well if your just doing the occasional track day is not too bad, if you don't have an off. but run a whole season of auto-x and it can be a bit of $$

Some of us don't have any tracks that are within 2 hours. There are only 2 tracks that are "close" but they don't hold SCCA sanctioning because of safety concerns. The next closest track for me would be Hastings, NE or MMP in SLC, UT. I would LOVE to do a few track days, but when you factor in hotel and travel just to get there, it gets to be $$$.

Hey Spencer:

Actually for 2007 it's changed to $35 per event for members, and $45 for non members with a limit of 10 non members allowed to run per event. Dang seems like the rest of the country gets more runs for the buck

130-170 per people event. $25 members. $30 non-members. Minimum 3 runs, usually 5, sometimes 6 per event. $1 per fun run (rare). Minimum 35 to maximum 60 seconds per run. We have three different locations to run on alternating per points event.

Pre-reg is $30 for members, $35 for non-members. On-site add $5 to each. We get 6 runs each event, unless there's an issue. Sometimes fun-runs for $1. Our events are capped at 170 entrants.
