Well I took my car to the track tonight for the 1st time. Ran consistent 8.4's at 84mph with 1.9 60' times. I know i need to work on my launches and get them down to 1.7's but for my 1st time i was happy. on my 2nd to last run though i tried launchin from about 5500 instead of the 4000-4500 like id been doing and slipped it too much and spun the cluth all the way through 1st, shifted to 2nd and the revs shot up at 6k so i just let off and coasted down the track. at the end i went into 3rd and went wot and it caught just fine. after i turned around at the end i went wot in 1st and it caught. i let it cool for a bit and made one last run where i still had a 1.9 60' and ran an 8.5 but smelled the clutch some. it stunk to high heaven in the car obviously when it happened but i went wot a number of times on the way home and had no problems except i noticed it slippin easier than normal in between shifts. i think i just heated it up A LOT but didnt completly kill it. what do you guys think? im letting it cool off completly over night and am going to see tomorrow. otherwise i was pretty happy with tonight.
