IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | ** edit ** ALL vids are up on my website. we had a few other STi's present as well; masti, technica, riksrex + two others i don't know. my day ended early after developing a power steering fluid leak. which caught me mid course with a full failure of the power assist steering. this car is a damn b1tch to steer with no power assist. it was amazing how it just let go so suddenly. glad no one was behind me on course or i would have probably got punted into the infield. (i have it on video) i'll be under the car today to see if i can fix the leak in the joint on either pipe (A) or pipe (B) as the service manual calls them. then we'll see if i managed to burn the pump out or if it somehow saved itself even after emptying. a little inspection and troublshooting last night seemed to indicate the pump is working until all the fluid airates and drains. my fingers are crossed. ![]() velozt racing This ad is not endorsed by this member. I was scheduled to attend this event (it would have been my first) but too many things came up and I was not ready to attend. I really want to get on the track already. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | nope...have not got around to doing the Track Rat stuff yet. i found the cause of the leak...loose connection on the power steering fluid return line underneath the car. it's all fixed at zero cost. but it ruined my day that's for sure. |

| Junior STI Driver | Tim, I'm glad you found what cause the leak and sorry it ruined your day. At least it wasn't a big problem. I just agree to help instruct on the 26th however, I am saving my tires for Summit pt. Will you be attending? Rick |
