IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | anyone here have the Puma Grit Cat? it looks like a decent shoe, designed for Rally really. but appears to be good also for the DEs i do. it just has a little more tread near the toe than a Repli Cat. got a decent price on a pair and i'm also seeing the Repli Cat Low at a decent price too. Repli Cat low looks to be a better DE shoe, but as you may know you spend a good amount of time at DEs "not driving". a decent price... ![]() an excellent offer on the Grit Cat IMO. even better on the mid cats, which list for $110. they only have red though - blech! ![]() the grit cat i could see wearing for weekend fun also, where as the repli cat wouldn't be comfortable except for DE use. | Grassroots STI Racer | I own two pairs of Speed Cats (same as Repli cat but different sole design) and I really like them. Very low profile and the smooth sole makes for great feel. From seeing the Grit Cats in person, main difference was the little bumps in the sole...I'm not sure how much that would affect the feel and grip if at all. The Speed/Repli cats are really not that uncomfortable for every-day wear or standing for long periods of time, I was worried about this because of the thin sole but it's not an issue for me. My best recomendation would be to try on a pair of both or at least the Grit Cat. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | i took a 2nd look at this pair of Sketchers i've been using the last few years that i loved so much for DEs [and gained proficiency on heel-toe with]. i thought there was tread, but basically the toe area is extremely thin like the replicats. so the grit cat would be a step in the wrong direction for me. i ordered these this morning. i had a bugger of a time finding a dark suede color in my size. plenty of cheaper versions in the light colors, but they would get ratty looking real fast IMO. Puma Speed Cats - $77.00 Shipped from Sagesport.com someone on another forum suggested trying the retail outlets where you can save up to 50%. so please consider that if any of you think of ordering on line. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2003 Trader Rating: (3) | I have a pair of the speed cats in black. They work very well and would recommend them. I also have a pair of Puma Anjan in blue/tan, they work decently and provide more walking support for events like AutoX or when I don't want to change shoes This ad is not endorsed by this member.
