IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | I have a friend that wants to buy a friend a Christmas present of driving a race car. NASCAR would be preffered but formula 1 or indy ok too. He intends to fly him to wherever the event is. (Travels a lot and has a lot of skymiles) Anyone have any knowledge of where to go for such a thing? This ad is not endorsed by this member. | Spiteful Old Codger | Quite a few of the better caliber tracks have racing schools associated with them. You might want to give some consideration to the specific track and location of choice. Many of the racing schools have one-day programs that are geared toward people who just want to do a few laps of arrive and drive. Of course you could also do one of the programs designed for novices who actually want to learn to race. As an example, Pro Drive is the school at PIR: http://www.prodrive.net/racing_school.shtml I think all of their basic programs use spec Fords though. |
