| Silver Member Feedback Score: 0 reviews | After owning 3 STIs I finally put down the money for a two day event at Glen Watkins. I'm in the novice class (duh) and I get track time with an instructor and classroom time too. Here is a video of my friend chasing down a STI last year there. He's the one who talked me into this. He is now in the advanced class and that's a convertible Cobra: Watkins Glen 10-29-08 2001 Ford Mustang Cobra- Video Anyone else going to this event? Anyone got any advice for this track? I'll be running stock wheels. I am hoping to put some sway bars in and may be doing downpipe / stage 2 before the event. I KNOW I won't need it. Thanks for any input in advance. |

| Senior STI Driver Feedback Score: 6 reviews Car: '06 STi WRB/Gold | I've been to the Glen a few times and it's a ton of fun. It's hard on brakes though, you need to replace your pads with something like a Hawk HP+ or Ferodo DS2500, and high temp brake fluid, DOT 4 or better (like ATE Blue). Stock pads will fade to nothing after a couple laps and the fluid will boil. Loosing your brakes on a track like the Glen is a bad thing.

| Professional STI Racer Feedback Score: 1 reviews Car: 05 WRX STi | I just came back from the Glen for a 2 day driving and Time Trial. I'm with a club called "COM" in the New England area and we were the season opener for the Glen this year. The first day was wet and raining and it was very fun plus scary as well. Learn a lot on driving in the rain with Hooiser DOT's since I don't have any rain tires. The second day was perfect as temps in the 60's and dry. I was able to push it much more and got a ok time of 2'18"xx with tires still not really up to temps since the track is still "green" without any rubber on it yet. I would suggest going with something bit more then the Hawk HT-10's or the DS2500. I was doing 140 in the back straight and brake hard for the quick inner loop. If you are going to not push the car too much, those pads as mention will do fine. Just make sure you bleed and put in new brake fluids. Otherwise, have fun and enjoy the Glen. One of my favor tracks besides Miller Motorsports Park.
